Ongoing programs

Our goal is to preserve the finnish heritage and language, and to convey the richness of the finnish culture to future generations. In 2011, this wasachieved through classes offered to children, teens, and adults on tuesday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 p.M. From february 1-may 3 and from september 27-december 6. We employed resources such as finnish literature, poetry, rhymes, skits, crafts, videos, visual aids, food, guest speakers, songs and stories to aid in our instruction. We encouraged participation in finnish cultural events including the finnish independence day celebration, christmas concert and may fair.
